Fronty AI alternatives: what happens after the screenshot becomes code?
Compare Fronty AI alternatives for screenshot-to-code projects and design handoff. See what v0, Anima and Uizard produce, and what work remains.
Find an AI market worth building in before anyone big claims it.
Every Monday we run every tracked search through four checks: buyers are looking for a tool, demand is rising, advertisers pay real money for every click, and a focused new site can still reach the first page. The few that pass are that week's openings.

Start with v0 or Anima if you want to turn a screenshot into code you can keep developing. Consider Uizard if your immediate goal is a design your team can discuss, with a narrower code handoff later. Before leaving Fronty, check whether its own export covers the site you need to deliver.
The difference matters most when the page does something. A screenshot can show a signup form, but it won't explain where submissions belong, what happens when an email is already registered, or who can read the saved data. Your choice of tool should account for that unfinished work.
Choose the output you need
| What you need next | Candidate | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Develop a screenshot into an application | v0 | Whether its generated code fits your project and the behavior you specify |
| Work from visual references and edit or export code | Anima | Code format, paid editing access and backend connections |
| Discuss screen designs before development | Uizard | Whole-project exports are visual; code handoff is component by component |
| Keep Fronty's editing and hosting workflow | Fronty | Which exported features still rely on Fronty services |
These recommendations are based on product documentation. We have not measured design accuracy or timed identical projects across the tools.
v0 when you want to keep building in code
v0's screenshot workflow accepts visual references and generates interface code. Its documentation says it also infers likely behavior from visible controls. It recommends adding instructions for flows and edge cases, with Next.js, Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui as its preferred combination.
That makes v0 worth evaluating when the screenshot is the beginning of a software project. Give it the behavior alongside the image. For a customer dashboard, explain whether a filter changes a table, what appears before data loads and what happens when no records match.
The v0 FAQ describes editing generated code, working with GitHub repositories and exporting for deployment elsewhere. Vercel provides the integrated preview and deployment experience; choosing another host still means checking the generated application's requirements.
If you already have a codebase, ask the developer who maintains it to review a representative result. A page that resembles your design may still introduce components or styling conventions that the team would need to replace.
Anima when you want visual input and an editable project
Anima's prompt workflow accepts screenshots, wireframes and flow diagrams. You can refine the generated project with further prompts or direct code changes. Its documentation explicitly separates that process from connecting the backend needed for saved data, authentication and API calls.
For a founder working from a rough product flow, this offers a way to develop the interface while making missing behavior visible. Include annotations on the reference: which screen follows a button click, what the form saves and how the layout should change on a phone.
The Code Tab guide describes downloading React, HTML or Tailwind code and pushing to GitHub. Direct code editing requires a paid plan. Check the export entitlement for your chosen plan before making it part of a client commitment.

Have someone inspect the files you would actually use. Confirm that the output fits your project, identify external services and estimate the work needed to connect real data. A successful preview alone doesn't answer those questions.
Uizard when the next step is agreeing on the design
Uizard's export guide draws a clear boundary: whole-project screen exports are images or PDFs. Paid Handoff Mode provides CSS or React for individual components, but it does not export an entire project as application code.
That can suit a team deciding which screens to build before committing development time. It is a less direct fit when you expect to download a complete project and continue working in an editor.
Settle the handoff with your developer first. If they only need the design and a few component references, the limitation may be acceptable. If they need a working application structure, evaluate the code-focused options above.
Fronty's export may already cover part of the job
Before switching, distinguish a problem with the generated design from a requirement to leave Fronty's hosting. They call for different evaluations.
Fronty's export documentation describes generated HTML and component assets on eligible paid plans. It also warns that forms and dynamic content can remain connected to Fronty services. The archive does not automatically move the underlying database or submission system.
If you want to host the site elsewhere, test the export on that host before rebuilding in another tool. Open the pages and follow the form submission through to its destination. Record any feature that still depends on Fronty and decide whether keeping that dependency is acceptable.
Quality needs its own check. Fronty's quality guide calls for review of the assembled site, including mobile layouts, keyboard use and measured performance. Treat those as tasks to complete on your project, not benefits guaranteed by generation.
Price the usable result before you move
Compare the first plan that lets you finish the job. Check export access, editing permissions and generation allowances, then add the hosting or services the result needs. A free preview is useful for evaluating a tool, but it does not establish the cost of maintaining the site.
Use a design you own for the comparison. Include a mobile layout and one interaction that matters, such as a form with an error state. Give both candidates the same instructions, then record the corrections and development still required.
For a code project, the next step is a review of those files by whoever will maintain them. For a visual prototype, it is agreement on the screens and the development handoff. Choose once you know what the tool produces and who will finish the remaining work.
